Casino M8trix opened a Las Vegas style casino in San Jose last year. The casino has been a popular destination for people throughout the city. Casino M8trix has retained a monopoly on the San Jose casino industry, but they will need to share the market. A representative from Bay 101 said the cardroom will be launching a casino next to the Casino M8trix in the near future.

Bay 101 has been a cardroom on Bering Drive for nearly 20 years. It has been one of the most popular gaming destinations in the area, but the owners are finding it increasingly difficult to compete. Many Native American tribes have launched casinos throughout Northern California. The tribes offer hotels, restaurants and a variety of ancillary services to cater to a much wider demographic than most cardrooms.

Erik Schoennauer, a representative of Bay 101, said that Californian cardrooms will need to invest in new infrastructure and offer new services to compete with the tribes. He said that the new casino will give customers the opportunity to enjoy a modern day gaming experience.

Schoennauer believes that both M8trix and Bay 101 will benefit from sharing space on North First Street. He said that both casinos can cater to each other’s customers. First Street could eventually become San Jose’s premier gaming destination.

Eric Swallow, one of the owners of Casino M8trix, said that he welcomes the new card room. Swallow believes that many Bay 101 customers will be mesmerized with the M8trix and try their hand there.

The owners of Bay 101 are ecstatic about the new opportunities that await them. However, San Jose has a number of regulations that may create some challenges for them. M8trix was able to negotiate a favorable leasing agreement with the owners of the building that the Garden City cardroom used to operate out of. Bay 101 will probably have a much more difficult time negotiating a favorable deal.
