Despite a bill passing the GO Committee for the first time, efforts to legalize California online poker are dead for 2015, the 8th such failure for poker.

The clock is ticking loudly as the chance of California passing online poker legislation in 2015 dwindles, with stakeholders unlikely to reach consensus.

Some might argue the state came closer than ever to allowing legal California online poker in 2015, but Steve Ruddock argues that the issue moved backward.
